Install error in Arch Linux

Hello,

I have installed nix in Arch Linux and then tried to set up ARTIQ

The command
$ nix profile install git+https://git.m-labs.hk/M-Labs/artiq.git

returns:
error: experimental Nix feature 'nix-command' is disabled; add '--extra-experimental-features nix-command' to enable it

I tried
nix --extra-experimental-features install (add) but I had no success with it.

Please give me a hint on how to do it. Thank you.

You need to add the "nix-command" and "flakes" to nix.setting.experimental-features on your nix.conf file, that way they are permanently installed.
Also don't forget to add release-<version> on the nix profile install command: nix profile install git+https://git.m-labs.hk/M-Labs/artiq.git?ref=release-9 for instance.

Thank you jose. Yes, I also performed the step of enabling nix flakes, but I still get an error

error: creating directory "/nix/store": Permission denied

I tried to create it manually inside the ~/.config/nix directory. No chance.

Nix needs to be installed on your system properly. Even if run in single-user mode, /nix must be writeable. You might want to follow a non-ARTIQ-related Nix setup guide.
