no output from urukul (9910) on certain channels

Spontaneously, several channels on two of our 9910 urukul boards have stopped producing an output.

No exceptions are thrown when programming the channels. And the red led indicator next to these channels will switch off when we turn the RF switch off. However, the green leds will not turn on.

Has anybody experienced this before?

jbroz sorry for the obvious question but are you sure you are switching the channel on?

Is this when using the RAM mode, because I am getting exactly the same error when using the RAM mode for amplitude modulation, there are no error in the master log either but the red led indicator is switching off.

Not when using RAM mode, and also we are being careful to switch the channels on.

It seems that two of our boards are damaged. We opened up the crate to inspect and found that the EEM ribbon cables were getting very hot near the connection to the boards (see images below). It's maybe worth noting that we are using the older v1.3 cards. We're going to order some replacements and cross our fingers and hope that the urukuls and not the kasli (also an older version) were not the source of the issue.

A quick follow up: replacing the suspect ribbon cables did solve our problems. Will keep an eye on this going forward and post any updates if necessary.
