Communication between two standalone crates

Hello,

I need to set up two standalone crates, and these two crates need to communicate with each other in real-time (<100us). Each standalone crate will have a Kasli core device, which features three SFP connectors. Can I use one of the SFP connectors in each Kasli to connect these two standalone crates with each other? Because these two creates does not run in a master-satellite mode, how can they communicate with each other?

In principle yes, but depending on what exactly you are trying to do it may or may not require substantial custom firmware and/or software development.
