core_log full of aux packet error (link went down)

My setup consists of one master and one satellite crate. After start artiq_master, the core log is full of this error message: ERROR:controller(core_log):firmware.runtime.moninj.remote_moninj:aux packet error (link went down). However, experiments can be submitted successfully and signals on both crates can be generated properly. What does this error mean and how to get rid of it?

Hi, did you solve this problem? Same thing happened with our system, when we updated the gateware.

We have seen similar issues with an Artiq8 gateware. Occasionally powercycling the master and satellite crate (and restarting the moninj-proxy) solved this issue most of the times. After flashing the most recent gateware, we have however not yet seen this issue any more.

But maybe your RTIO Network settup is having issues? What SFP+ connector are you using? Have you seen this issue earlier?
