Registration re-enabled with @gmail.com blocked (since this is what spammers seem to use).
Existing accounts using gmail addresses are not affected.

All email addresses are now accepted and additionally you can now post as guest without registration. Hopefully Anubis should be effective at keeping the spammers at bay.
