How to stay at version 6?

Hi,
I am configuring my own Kasli Crate and have a little problem. Apparently I am working on version 7 instead of the current stable version 6.
$ artiq_run --version ARTIQ v7.7597.bdaaf3c1.beta
But I am running on the artiq-full, not the beta channel:
$ nix-channel --list artiq-full https://nixbld.m-labs.hk/channel/custom/artiq/full/artiq-full nixpkgs https://nixos.org/channels/nixos-20.09
Where does this come from?
Should I use v6 or v7 (I am working with Kasli + Phaser)?
How do I switch to v6?

I don't think so.
I guess I figured out what is going on. As I said I am building my own Crate, which means I am using the artiq source code, which builds the artiq_* commands when entering the nix-shell. So I have to control my version using a particular branch/tag in the artiq git source directory and the nix-channels have no effect.
However, the question on which version to use stays.

Not really. I'd like to know which version I should use. I know how to use a specific one, but not which one.

If you don't want in-development beta features then use 6.

OK, I was more interested in insight if there is any reason I should use the development version, given the fact that the Phaser is relatively new.

The Phaser code is identical so far in 6 and 7-beta.
