Is there a way to reset the ARTIQ hardware so that before every run it goes back to default settings i.e. as if it has just been turned off and on?

Kasli (and I suppose the zotino, ttl and rf channels that are connected to it as well).

For Kasli you can use artiq_flash start, or artiq_coremgmt reboot with ARTIQ-7.
Zotino only has simple state and usually does not need reset. You can program a startup kernel that reinits it and sets outputs to 0 if you want.
The TTL card has no state.
I suppose "RF channels" are Urukul. The AD991x chips cannot be fully reset due to an oversight by ADI in their silicon design.
